..just a quick update on today's activities......... the Bergerac birds left south wales at 0700 for the short journey to frome on arrival they were transhiped into the cscfc crates and by 09.30 with water applied they were left to settle , whilst basketing took place at the marking station, prior to the journey south to southampton for the final pick up prior to the crossing to france if we here of any further updates over the next few days we will of course keep you updatedBERGERAC
just had an update from the secretary of the cscfc
Clive Merrills,president of the cscfc
has been in contact with the drivers/convoyers who informs him they and the birds arrived safe and well at dinner time with no issues
and will be speaking again at 0500 tomorrow
they report heavy cloud over the Bergerac region ,which may or may not hamper any chance of an early liberation .tomorrow so its a wait and see situation
we will be speaking again tomorrow morning after 6.30am so will update accordingly

BERGERAC LIBERATION
.Friday 12th July: Liberation was at 6am into blue sky with no wind on site. Convoyer reports a perfect liberation with an immediate clearance from the site. The visibility over the whole route is given as very good. There is a weakening weather front across the flight path through France which is producing mainly light and broken cloud but with no rain on it. Winds in France are given as light from the West to North West. Temperatures range from 18C at the start to a maximum of 27C early afternoon in France. The breeze increases as the channel nears in the afternoon. The channel is forecast to be clear with a West or North West wind force 3 or 4 (10 -15mph) Good Luck to you all Clive Merrills
